Haikali, Doëseb launch NFA ‘Change’ campaign - By: S Nikodemus Namibian

NAMIBIA Football Association (NFA) presidential candidate Ranga Haikali and his right-hand man Johnny Johnson Doëseb officially launched their campaign in Windhoek yesterday. Haikali, a former trade unionist, promised not only a new but a much improved administration of the embattled association. He said he was determined to encompass the views of those who take domestic football seriously.  “We are not downplaying the efforts of the current leadership,” he said when he launched his ‘Vote For Change’ manifesto, which focuses on the “inefficiencies” of the current office bearers. read all

DC to decide First Division fate By: S Nikodemus Namibian

THE Northern Stream First Division’s (NSFD) disciplinary committee will today decide what punishment, if any, will be meted out against its detractors, and when the troubled league will conclude its belated programme. Four teams from the 13-team division, Golden Bees, Epupa 11 Stars, Cuca Tops and Robber Chanties, who have been involved in unsavoury conclusions to their matches, all face charges ranging from “failure to fulfil a league match”, and “action which causes a league match to be abandoned”, to “failure to exercise control over spectators at a league match”. Mighty Gunners currently head the division’s log, followed closely by second-placed Robber Chanties, and Golden Bees in third position. read all
