although several German teams from Germany and South Africa during the years participated to compete for this prestigious old boys cup it stayed on the African continent (Namibia) - the German Club Cape Town "Deutschland" consisted mainly of Namibians living in SA. Horst Pietzsch was a Namibian football player from Swakopmund who did sponsor the cup. Pietzsch died in a car accident in the nineties. The old boys teams in example SKW Alte Herren was started 1980 when the stars had to give way for new talents in the Namibian fist league.
