SKW 5-a-side international amateur social football tournament 2010
On Saturday 19 June, the SKW Soccer Division staged its first International 5-a-side tournament. The tournament was very well organised and a full complement of 32 teams were signed in! the low entry fees and international theme ensured a cheerfull social atmosphere. Competition was stiff for both the League and social rounds, with passionate participation by all the teams. The Cup Final was won by Zimbabwe who dominated over the team from Algeria. In the Shield France beat Germany convincingly to snatch the win. Prizes were also given out for the best-dressed team (Bafana Bafana) and for the team with the best team spirit (Mexico).
From feedback received from the participants, the tournament organizers are confident that the event was a huge success and hopefully will become an annual occurrence on the sports calender. Main oprganisers from the SKW included Sven Schonecke, Ralph Ellinger, Oliver Horsthemke, Günther von Hundelshausen, Bernd Steinbrück and Norbert Wurm. The tournament was proudly sponsored by Namibia Breweries Limited, First National Bank, Leo and OTB Sports.

SKW Kick-It Tournament 2016
The SKW Football Division will once again host the Kick-It 5-A-Side football tournament on the 18th of June 2016 at the SKW Football Grounds. Last year the tournament did not take place due to logistical reasons but is to be resumed this year and will once again be co-hosted by FNB Namibia and Namibia Breweries.
As in the 2014 edition of the tournament the organizers hope to once again attract a host of social teams to join them in a fun filled and action packed day of football. Teams are invited to join as a national (country) team of their choice with their families and friends in support.
Participating teams are limited to 32 teams and entries will be treated on a first come first served basis. The entry fee will be N$1500 as well as an N$250 refundable deposit (refer to terms of refund in the Rules and Regulations of the Tournament). The deadline for registration is 14 June 2016.
