SKW Youth Guidelines

Passion: Show that soccer is very close to your heart and that very little can replace it. With everything you do, do it with utmost effort and go over the top with yourself. Good should not be enough! I want, I can and I must! Team spirit:  Success is a team effort and only as teams are we strong. So: Everybody else in the team is as important as you are. Encourage yourself and do as much as you can to help others. Engage yourself and show interest in your team colleagues.

Openness and honesty: Trust can only thrive through openness and honesty! No confidence, no unity; no unity, no team spirit; no team spirit, no success.

Communication: Be open for discussions, mention your ideas and raise your objections and feelings calmly at the right point of time. You should listen to your teacher, trainer and coach or teammates if they talk to you, express criticism or praise you. Only this way you can improve yourself! Good communication is the heart of a team! Take your chances: Open your eyes, stay awake and be alert at all times - within a split-second an excellent pass might come your way to create a chance to score a goal! Take the golden and exceptional opportunity and make use of the education and training the SKW offers!

Pleasure doing things: "Also with stones put in your way you can build something beautiful" (Goethe).  So, have fun with whatever you do, think positive. Only with motivation and trust in your own achievements excellent results can be expected! Carpe diem: Time is money and expensive. Utilize yours and that of those around you wisely and judiciously. Always be on time and with full engagement whether in training or in a game, at school or with education. Carpe diem! - utilize the day!

Discipline: Stick to the relevant rules, to the benefit of the club, the team and at the end of the day for your own benefit.

Fair play: Of course we as "SKW" would like to win the league and tournaments, but never to the disadvantage of fair play. Respect the rights of others, those of the opponent and challenger; make exclusively use of your talent, strong will and team spirit to conquer your competitor.

Respect and self-esteem: Respect and appreciate behavior, opinion and attitude of teammates, referees, coaches, trainers and opponents irrespective whether you go accord with them.

Dear Parents / Guardians and Players

We have come to the end of a very challenging yet successful 2011 Football season. Before we however wish each other a merry Christmas and a good start for 2012 allow me to inform you of some important facts and to thank those who have worked tirelessly throughout the year.

To all the coaches, administrators and management of CYMOT SKW FC I wish to extend my utmost gratitude for the endless hours and commitment which you have show during 2011 without which our 200
plus youngster would not have been able to enjoy the game of football. All of this work is done without any remuneration and rests solely on the goodwill of these individuals who are prepared to sacrifice their private time to provide your children the opportunity of a proper football education. In this light, I urge those of you who would like to get involved in any way to contact the clubs management, we surely need the helping hands.

Looking forward to the 2012 season we are glad to report that the Namibian Football Association has committed to facilitate a proper youth league and has already sought the help of various football clubs in
setting up and managing these various age group leagues.

We would also like to inform you that the membership fees for 2012 have been set at N$ 1350.00. This is up from N$ 1200.00, and constitutes an increase of 12.5 %. Of this, N$ 100.00 has been levied by the main club in terms of affiliation fees. Looking at the increases in electricity and water alone which have recently been approved by the municipality and the big investments which we have budgeted for during 2012 (N$ 100 000.00 flood light & N$ 80 000.00 fencing upgrade) we still believe that our football club is offering great value for money. At a mere cost of N$ 135.00 per month your children are enjoying the best football education available in Namibia, are members of the biggest football club in Namibia and enjoy 10 months of supervised outdoor entertainment. Considering the above I am proud to say that we believe that we offer the best value for money sport activity in Namibia.

To our main sponsor CYMOT, once again we are grateful for your support during 2011, now running in its 5th year. At a time when not many were willing to invest in football and youth football was very much in its infancy you showed great vision. I firmly believe that the decision taken during 2007 has benefited both your organisation and football development in Namibia greatly. We look forward to continuing this
partnership.

Finally, to our youngster, thank you for your commitment to CYMOT SKW FC and congratulations on all achievements during 2011. In closing, be thankful for the opportunity provided to you by your parents /
guardians to be a part of the biggest football club in Namibia.

Training will commence on 1st February 2012.

Yours in football,
…………………
