SKWFA Code of Conduct
Training Ground Rules, League matches and Tournament Rules
Players:
1. Training sessions starts at the stipulated times as per the training schedule which is available on the SKW website. All players to be punctual for training sessions, league matches and tournaments.
2. All players have to wear the white or green SKW training shirt, black shorts and socks; it’s compulsory.
3. All players should show respect at all times to all teammates, opponents, coaches, parents, match officials and themselves. No verbal abuse will be tolerated.
4. All players should take pride in the care of their belongings and SKW team equipment.
5. All the players will be responsible for their own belongings, water bottle, caps and all training gear.
6. It is all Player’s responsibility to ensure that the training field is left neat. No water bottles should be left on the field.
7. Players should not use bad remarks based on race, religion, gender or ability.
8. Not training regularly will affect your chances of selection for league matches and tournaments.
9. Discipline, commitment and determination are the key to your development.
10. All players should comply and respect the laws of the game at all times.
11. No cell phones are permitted at training sessions, SKW will not take responsibility for any cell phones that are stolen or misplaced. The coaches are also not responsible for taking care of cell phones brought to training sessions.
12. SKW has a Zero Tolerance policy regarding alcohol and drug abuse. Any player found to be under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs before, during or after a match or training session will be asked to leave immediately and will be expelled
Parents/Guardians
1. Parents/guardians are very welcome at all training sessions and matches and are to respect coaches decisions.
2. Parents/guardians should ensure that the coaches are informed in good time if a child will not be available for matches and training session.
3. Parents/guardians are requested to liaise with the coaches to ensure that their child’s football commitment does not have a detrimental effect on their school work or studies.
4. Parents/guardians should encourage their child to follow the rules above.
5. Parents/guardians are instructed not to coach or shout at any player or official during matches; home or away or at any training session.
6. Parents/guardians are encouraged to applaud all aspects of good play and effort from both sides.
7. Parents/guardians expectations of their own team/child and attitudes towards other players, officials and supporters can have a significant bearing on the child’s attitude towards the same. A positive and constructive attitude must be expressed at all times.
8. Parents/guardians and supporters must stay away from the pitch of play.
9. Parents/guardians are responsible for the dropping off and picking up your child’s at training, league matches and tournaments.
10. Parents/guardians to show a great sportsmanship behavior to all our opponents and referees.
11. Only registered members of the SKW may participate at training sessions. Non-registered friends, siblings and other family members are only allowed to watch but not interfere in any way.
12. Parents/guardians should please pay their membership fees on time as indicated on the application form.
13. Parents/guardians to use the WhatsApp group for information only. Any unnecessary and rude comments will result in the guilty party being removed from the group.
14. Parents/guardians must ensure that their children are enrolled in the correct age group, only the Coaches (upon the approval of the Committee) will be permitted to move a player up to the next age group.
15. Parents/guardians will ensure that their child only attends the training session specifically relevant to said child’s age group, unless otherwise arranged with management.
16. As disciplined and well-behaved role models for players, parents/guardians must refrain from alcohol use at any time while games are on, ie no alcohol on or next to the field of play
Coaches
1. Coaches are requested to be punctual at all times.
2. Coaches will be respectful to all match officials, opposition players and other coaches and promote all aspects of good sportsman behavior at all times.
3. All club equipment and kit must be treated with respect and care.
4. Coaches are not permitted to appoint assistant coaches without the approval of the committee, whether as voluntary or remunerated by coaches themselves.
5. Coaches to respect the facilities and not hand out keys to any persons who are not part of the coaching team.
6. Coaches will address players and their parents in courteous and respectful manner at all times.
7. Coaches should set a positive example promoting fair play to all involved in the game/training session both on and off the pitch, and ensure they treat all players equally regardless of skill level. No favoritism will be allowed.
8. Coaches should abide by the laws of the game, and competitions rules and participate within the spirit of the game.
9. Accept success, failure and defeat equally.
10. Coaches must ensure that the children are enrolled in the correct age group, only upon the approval of the Committee will be permitted to move a player up to the next age group.
11. Coaches should make every effort to develop the psychological, physical, technical and tactical levels of the team using permitted means within the laws of the game and boundaries of fair play.
12. Coaches serve as disciplined and well-behaved role models for players and spectators, therefor refraining from alcohol and drug abuse before, during or after a match or training session and from any other form of behavior which may negatively influence players and spectators
